Hi,

Have had a pressurised tight sensation in my calf for the past week or so now. I noticed yesterday that just above the spot has started pitting. There’s no pain at all just an annoying pressure.

Anybody have any ideas?

Not to worry...this is not a deep vein thrombosis which is the dangerous one but an inflammation in the superficial veins which is not at all life threatening and will go away in about a week or so. In the meantime, Ibuprofen gel or voltarol gel rubbed in two or three times a day should help to resolve the problem.

Fluid? Does it remain white when you have pressed it?
Not enough information.
Is the calf swollen?
Is it painful to the touch?
Has the leg below changed colour, if so is it white or blueish?

I don’t think it’s swollen just an indentation above the spot where the pressure feeling is. Absolutely no pain and it’s not hot to the touch.

Also there’s no colour change and it remains white when pressed

A good excuse to lie in the sofa with your feet up. Try not to stand too long
