Hi

Currently using these as prescribed for non-allergic rhinitis. Side effects are nose bleeds for 1 in 10 users and I'm the 1!! Never had nosebleeds before and they are rather unpleasant but I'm getting used to them.
Trouble is I've now developed a nasty head cold, stuffy nose etc. My question is: should I suspend use until I'm clear of the cold or carry on using them. I'm finding it difficult to blow my nose properly because it starts of a nose bleed!!

I use Flixonase nasal drops for nasal polyps. I use them even when I have a cold, but try and blow my nose first. I also get some nosebleeds and have continual minor bleeding in my nose except in the Summer. Don't know if it's caused by Flixonase or the polyps though.

Nasal polyps do not cause nose bleeds and neither do steroid nose drops.
What you seem to be getting mayennaise is a "rebound phenomenon"from your nose drops. Cease using them for about 10 days and then restart them.
