On Monday I washed my hair with a new shampoo. Ever since a residue has been in the roots of my hair. I have washed my hair with my old shampoo many, many times and it will not shift. My hair looks almost wet with grease and I just cannot shift whatever it is. Has anyone else experienced this? It is very embarrassing and I am at my wits end.

what kind of water are you washing your shampoo out with? Use just tepid water and see if that works
put your old shampoo on dry hair and massage in then rinse, then wash as normal, hope it works.
make a rinse with lemon juice or vinegar. This migh help. Probably the residue is the silicone that is put in shampoo to make it look shiny.

It wasn't Fructis.was it? I remember those sort of reports about it,when it came out initially.

I remember that Fructis thing and I have always steered away from it ever since, just shows you how a bit of bad publicity can last for years ...

It was elvive, will definitely steer clear of fructis too. The vinegar worked, although when it dripped into my mouth it wasn't too pleasant.

Thanks mimififi
I used Fructis once and ended up having to get my hairdresser to wash my hair with industrial strength shampoo to get the gunge out!
