Mavala have very good products. I use the cuticle cream and find it very good.
And I use Mavala's strengethener (the small bottle of green onion smelling stuff). It's excellent.
Wow that takes me back about fifty years, Mavala was going then! Sure I remember the green onion smelling stuff ...
Yes my mum used to use it, the fact it's been going so long is proof how good it is IMO.

Does it actually smell like onion?
Only if you sniff the bottle not on your nails! You only paint it on the bare tips 2 or 3 times a week not the whole nail so doesn't give a shiny basecoat like most strengtheners. I use one of those on top, usually Sally Hansen.
Evening primrose oil. A manicurist told me to use it, buy the cheapest capsules you can find, puncture one carefully and massage the oil into your nails and cuticles every day. It works. I drop the oil from several capsules into to a little pot, it can be messy!
Wish someone would come up with a proper, non feminine makeup, solution to splitting and breaking nails. When I was younger mine were tough. Nowadays they seem to split if you look hard at them. Maybe I need to drink a pinta milka day.
OG none of the above suggestions are visible so absolutely no reason you can't use them. If it's not too girly then just massage them with coconut or almond oil on a regular basis. Eat jelly squares too!
Thanks for the advice.
Would that there was a cure but I could settle for preventative action.
