HI there
Totally unsure what this could be. I was leaning over the computer for a while yesterday while standing. I also have diagnosed gallbladder problems waiting for an MRI scan I also know I slept in a very funny angle last night. I woke up this morning with this terrible pain between my shoulders mainly occurring to the right. I have had gallbladder pain yesterday and I know that this can be referred. I took 2 cocodamol at 0830 this morning and it has not helped at all. I am about to take another 2. I keep thinking it could be a pulmonary embolism, heart attack or heart failure, the pain is almost constant I can more or less put my finger on it, it does not go anywhere else and I walked into town and back without feeling breathless but I was in pain but no different when I was at home. I am trying to think logically here. But I am now really anxious could I have pinched a nerve by very bad posture. If so would it be very painful and not respond to painkillers?

It sounds like a pulled muscle or tapped nerve. What I font understand is you say you may be having a heart attack etc. but you ask for advice on a forum?

no i cant reach it its at the back if it was a heart attack it wouldn't go on for as long as 6 hours would it?
Since you had the pain before you left the house, Gordie, the only thing I'm prepared to rule out completely as the cause is a sniper's bullet.
If it was a heart attack you would have chest/arm pains, probably feel clammy and have an altered pallor. Where exactly in your back is it?
I suspect it is a continuation of your gallbladder problem - as has been discussed on here several times.

What have you eaten today?

From what you said it sounds like either a trapped nerve or a referred pain.

While there are plenty of good people on here who will advise you, you need to see your GP. Sqad (Chief Hospital Porter 1935-1960) may be around later

Stop read the Internet Medical bits, they're not good for your health!
Oi Baldric! In gordie's case you are right. However I defend my position as a graduate of the Google School of Medicine (Hons)
