About 4 years ago I broke my femur and because of the poor structure of my bones ( I have Multiple Myeloma Cancer) it was repaired with steel (I think) rods and pins.

For the past few weeks the top of my leg / hip area feel like they are crunching (can't think of a better word) I am a little worried though it's not causing me any pain.

Don't know what to do really, thought about going to my GP who won't be able to do anything I would have thought as its not causing me any trouble or pain or should I just wait until it does?

I am very conscious of it now though.

That does not sound good. You should definitely see your GP, who I'm sure, will refer you to a specialist. Good luck!
I agree , a referral is preferable at this stage rather than waiting for pain to kick in.

Thank you, I know i should but just hoping it doesn't mean another operation. Trying to put it off I suppose.
Nothing sinister springs to mind, particularly in the absence of pain.
I cannot associate the symptom with either your bone disease or the metalwork in your leg.
No big deal, but perhaps a non urgent appt with your GP may be reassuring.
