Would anyone know if any vaccinations are needed if one is going to the West Indies? Thank you

What do you call the West indies? The Caribbean? if so in general no but take plenty of good quality mosquito repellent such as Deet.
Trinidad used to deny that you could get malaria there, but seasoned travellers thought otherwise. Barbados has little standing water ( being nice sponge-textured coral) so mosquitoes are rarer there.
Your GP has tables of countries and diseases and vaccination recommendations. The practice nurse can check for you.
