Last night at bedtime I took half a hayfever tablet (Sainsbury's own brand or similar). I expected to sleep well as a result, and did so. However I've been like a zombie all day....and I've experienced similar in the past. These tablets claim not to make you drwsy. So I wonder if anyone has experienced this, or can explain why they affect me like this.

All anti-histamines have drowsiness as a side effect, some more than others.
Unfortunately those with the greater drowsiness are the better antihistamines.
I don't suppose you took them with alcohol?

Not I Sqad - I love a tipple but not with hayfever tablets. However, they seem cheaper and longer lasting than vino tinto so I might convert completely.
;-)
you must be sensitive to the anti-histamine used -it it loratine? Wish I was -i wash down a zopiclone every night with a large glass of red and it still takes me an hour to get to sleep.
I had to stop cetirizine this year which I had been fine with, and move to loretadine because the cetirizine was wiping me out.
