My underarm hair is a nightmare to get rid of. It is very fine and my little battery razor doesn't seem to pick it up. But I am in Scotland, summer will be over by the weekend then I will not have to worry.

When I was younger, I found I had to use underarm deodorant every day, and again in the evening, if I was going out. But now that I am 62, I rarely if ever have to use it. Actually I put some on today, as its now 29 degrees here in Swansea, but mainly as a precaution. My 14 year old nephew, however, gets through an aerosol a week !

I am not sure why this is...anybody with any medical knowledge have an answer ? Have my sweat glands worn out with old age perhaps ?
My OH is similar, Mikey, he puts deodorant on as a precaution but he doesn't need to.

He works outside and sweats buckets in this kind heat and never in the years we've been together has he ever ponged.

Yesterday he came home from work and his t-shirt was covered in salt stains.
I would LOVE to use a deodorant but one and all they make my armpits itch like fire, even the herbal/organic/hypoallergenic kinds. I rely on daily showers and using talc.
Mikey - youv'e just got used to your own fragrance to the point where you don't notice it anymore :-)
