I've just split up with the love of my life on good terms because we were arguing too much.  He says he thinks we've done the right thing but he hasn't cancelled our holiday (due to go in a week and a half) so I know he's not 100% sure its what he wants but I need to talk him into giving it another go because I am miserable!

How can I make him see it is worth another shot?

I would suggest a make or break holiday.  These things can sometimes work, you can talk over your problems and hopefully make it work.  If not then at least you both tried.  Not only that but you will have a nice break away.

Maybe if you can get away from the everyday pressures of life the two of you can talk honestly and openly.  But if you do decide to go ahead, you will both need to have the courage to address the specific issues that are causing your arguments in a way that doesn't turn it into a holiday from hell for both of you.

Sugest you both pack your sense of humour and an ability to take constructive criticism along with your sun tan cream and give it one last try.

Yes, I agree with pinkiefriend and WendyS.

Effective communication is the key, the first step is to ask him why he hasn't cancelled the holiday and do not assume.

Good luck.
