What would cause a swelling on a right leg just above inside ankle.
The diameter is about the same as a golf ball.
Sometimes it's bigger than others. It aches, no redness, no injury or rash.
I Don't smoke or drink, BMI normal (apart from 4 lb Christmas weight).
Goggle only suggests Oedema which doesn't fit.
I'm not worried just curious.

TIA.

Two conditions leap to mind...an ankle bursa or much less likely a lipoma.

Ankle bursa ( Google it) is no big deal unless it becomes inflamed and is basically a bag of fluid from the adjacent joint.

The less likely lipoma...much less likely is just a benign fatty "lump."
Couldn't put it better sqad.
