Whats the best food to eat to give you energy? Are there some that give you energy really quickly? Dont know why, but just lately im constantly tired, even though i dont have late nights and get at least 7-8 hours sleep a night. Work in an office too so not as if I'm on my feet all day? thought maybe eating different foods may have helped.

What you eat can totally change the way you feel, and will have a massive impact on you energy levels. First of all make sure you are drinking loads of water aim to drink 1.5 litres a day. Then try and cut out sugary carbs unfortunately that means cakes, biscuits and chocolate! But by cutting these out (or at least to a minimum) you should really notice the difference.  Have wholegrain bread instead of white, take a daily multi vitamin. Make sure your getting your RDA or fruit and veg, and for snacks have nuts and seeds. for more indepth infor check out Dr Gillian McKeiths books - she really knows what she's talking about. Hope this is a little help!

You need to exercise as well! I am a freak (exercise freak that is) it will give you more energy than before and it encourages you to eat better as well.

hannahjo The stuff McKeith makes is inedible ! Yuck !!!

I do drink quite a lot of water, prob not 1.5 litres, but nearly that. I also hardly ever eat cakes and biscuits etc. I've been really good lately and hardly touched any of these things (holiday coming up soon!!) at work i eat wholegrain bread and would say that i eat vegetables, although probably not as much as i should. so could it be something else? I dont really see myself as being unhealthy, i also go to the gym twice a week!?
try taking some ginseng..it will take a week to take affect but it should give you an energy spurt..also take vitamin b complex tablets they turn food into energy..so that may also help..
bananas are pretty good!!
I would get my blood tested if I was you.
