Doc told me to take antihistamine for red rash, I've a shed load of loratidine in the cupboard so I've being taking that (1 a day) but they don't seem to be helping in the slightest, so I'm off to the chemist to get some Piriton but don't know which one would be best, the cetirizine or the chlorphenamine.

Thanks for any help :)

Have a word with the pharmacist
I wouldn't bother going to the chemist.......taken 20 mgms ( 2'tabs) in one go in the morning and if still, having problems add another 10mgm tablet 12 hours later.

Thanks sqad, what one should I take though, or should I just carry on with the loratidine?

Grassy, I would if I didn't have to wait for an eon.
LOL...sorry......i didn't make it clear........the Loratidine that you have a "shed load of."

Haha, thanks. I've got a shed load as I bought them to go on holiday with next week, with no shadow of a doubt at least two of us will get prickly heat :)
just so you know rocky, the Piri that is cetirizine is PiritEZE, the Piri that is chlorphemamine is PiriTON. PiritEZE is available everywhere, PiriTON is pharmacist only.

Ah, thanks Woofy, that makes more sense now. :)

Question Author
