We need a washinglaundry section on AB don't you think or is it just me?
Anyway, I have just bleached my bras (Lace trim and cotton cup) and the lace has come out really white but the cotton part has gone yellow?
Someone else must have done this at one time or another (I hope) so does anyone have any ideas how to get the whole bra white, without buying all new bras?
Please. :-)

Dylon do a dye which is designed to make your undies white again its called lingerie whitener and you can get it from here http://britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Dylon_Stain_Remover_Products.html (3rd one down) but you can probably get it in haberdashery departments of big shops or maybe even your local craft/fabric shop

Thankyou Funkychicken.
you're very welcome =)
Do we need a whole Laundry section, or will a Bra section on its own be enough?

what does anyone else think?
Or you could tell everybody that white and yellow bras are the latest fashion.  It works for ripped, stained and dirty-looking jeans.
just chuck em out love and buy new its a great excuse and never fails to make me feel better

have you tried boiling them in a pan with a bit of lemon juice I think - seem to remember my mum doing something like that.

What about getting a white coloured dye??

I have a similar problem - I stupidly washed a new red / maroon skirt in with hubbies jeans - hence he now has pink jeans.

As you can imagine, Mr Bling is not v impressed with this.

Went and bought a dye gone thing which has had no effect whatsoever, Mr Bling suggests putting bleach in the washing machine - which I have refused to do and also mentioned the fact of bleach wash jeans back in the 80's.

Any suggestions

I've done this many times and just ended up going out and spending a fortune on new underwear!
HI Twinkygirl76, I'm a guy so not that knowledgable on laudry things LOL, but have you tried something like "net curtain whitener"?

BTW, I think most ppl put these kind of questions in the Home & Garden section of AB
