I'm sat in sainsburys cafe waiting to report or admonish a bloke who has parked his 4x4 or whatever in the parent and toddler spaces
I wish someone would give him a ticket

How do you know there are no children with the driver? Or maybe the driver is meeting ex-wife, granny, babysitter to pick up the children.
Don't parents with toddlers drive 4x4's around your way?I live near a primary school and at a guess I'd say a third of the cars dropping the little darlings off are 4x4's.
Is it a BMW - they are automatically entitled to park anywhere ?

I don't think there's anyone to report him to really though Ric.ror, I doubt the store will take him to task. dDd you see him park there alone?
is there no more spaces left/do you have kids and want to get parked ?

I know there are no children cause I saw him get out and run into sains
Anyway I've had to leave him to it as my bus was due
If drivers risk an enforceable fine when they park on doubly yellow lines to nip into Gregg's for a meat slice they are hardly going to worry about an unenforceable parking charge in a supermarket car park.

The supermarket doesn't want to lose a customer by giving him a ticket so nothing will be done. Those spaces are usually polite requests not orders that must be adhered to.

As I said, ric.ror he could be picking up his kids. A supermarket is an ideal hand over point, especially if there is a cafe and toilets.
Ric.ror i have watched them do the same thing at asda in the disabled parking bays

I think this is a common problem to be honest and Parent and Child parking bays can't be legally enforced, unlike Disabled Parking bays.
it is VERY bad in the disabled parking bays, you are very lucky if you get one
Disabled parking bays can't be legally enforced on private land such as supermarket car parks either.
Relax, Ric.....Karma will sort him.....☻
I usually challenge anyone young and healthy looking who parks in a disabled bay by politely asking "do you need the disabled bay?" I know people have hidden disabilities but the way I word my question will hopefully cause no offence.
The last time I asked (funnily enough it was in Sainsbury's) the young man snarled "What the eff has it got to do with you?"

I may have accidentally knocked my trolley into the side of his car and caught his paintwork shortly after that.....

Ah well, mrs overreact accidents happen.
they do, tony, they do
Parent and child spaces are one of my pet hates actually. Whilst I wouldn't dream of parking in a disable bay, I wouldn't hesitate to use a p&c space if that's was the only one available. I managed perfectly well without them when mine were little, and yes, I did take them in the car with me.
