Hi there I was really shocked to get my HBA1C result it was 11.4% and I am going to have to go on an injectable drug called Victoza as well as take my metformin. I am really freaked out about it. Anyone else on this?

Well gordie...this was always on the cards as you have been a " nightmare" sticking to your diet.
Last chance saloon now, if you don't behave with your diet, you will be on insulin injections for the rest of your life............
Good luck
Why freaked out? My husband took it for about 4 years (he is on insulin now) and he says it wont cause you any problems once you have got used to it. It upset his stomache to start with but has the added bonus of being an appetite surpressant!
Sorry "shouldn't" cause you any problems. Good luck with it!
Don't be freaked out Gordie....just get yourself sorted because if you think it's bad now and you end up on insulin it's a lot harder. I've been there with hbA1c readings like that and it takes a long time and a LOT of hard work to get it down!
