Evening all,

Off to bed in a bit but thought I'd ask a quick question about insoles for the above. I have tried many insoles but I still get ball and heel pain when walking long distances. I would like to invest in a good pair that are recommended by ABers who also suffer this or maybe even something else that may help.

Grateful for any suggestions :o)

See a neurologist who can customize insoles. See a doctor for a steroid injection in the heel.
Chiropodist that should be...ruddy predictive text!
Pain in the heel is often called policemans foot, my oh had it for about a year and then it went, he never found (nor was offered) any treatment, my daughter had an opp on the ball of her foot as a teenage as it was very painful, and that was a success.
Why not try visiting an orthopedic doctor first? There are several reasons as to why you're experiencing those symptoms. It could be something simple like normal foot pain which can be treated with over-the-counter pain relievers. However, if the pain is chronic, you should really consider seeking medical advice before buying new shoes. My mother unknowingly hurt her feet so that's why she couldn't be comfortable in any shoe. With a visit to our local orthopedist, we were able to find out that she sort of sprained her foot.
