What is the average age that you receive a TB Vaccine (or at least tested to see if it's needed)?

Thanks

The schools' BCG vaccination programme was terminated in 2005, so teenagers no longer routinely receive the jab. I'm pretty sure I was 13, but that was a while ago and things may well have changed.
It was 13 when I was a girl. I assume it's
the same now.
As far as I know it isn't given any more. My son hasn't had it and was never offered it and he is 16.

If only I had been born 20yrs later, I'd have been saved a lot of misery :-(
Why Eccles? did you have a bad reaction to the jab?

I had my BCG at primary school because there was an outbreak of TB locally, when I was then tested at high school (6 needle test) I showed a reaction and they were convinced I had TB despite me telling them I was immune due to vaccination. I had to go for chest x-rays to convince them.
Is it true that TB is more prevalent in London than in some areas of the Middle East?
Daffy, it triggered another condition that I will have for life.
@Sandy Not sure about prevalence of TB in the middle east, but certainly the number of cases in London represents nearly half of all TB cases in the UK, and is more than several small european countries combined.

Thats a damned shame Eccles. :(
It is a bit of a bummer but hey-ho!
Mine have had it at school at 15. Second daughter's is next week.
Cant believe that i have that BCG put into my bladder from time to time to keep tumours at bay. Highly toxic stuff!
