All I know is that it is the sweet you can eat between meals, and it's centre has been whipped and whipped.
Homework?

What statement about my homework is true:

a) I cant be bothered to do it myself

b) I cant be bothered to do it myself

c) I cant be bothered to do it myself
Drat! the only thing I knew about the Milky Way was you could eat it between meals :-)
Milky ways were way better years ago before they altered them
It's known as Milkweg in Dutch, if that helps.
VHG for best answer!
As Khandro would say, all or none of the above, scientists just guess until they are proved wrong, what is a fact today is a lie tomorrow. Try googling 'milky way' if you want some sensible answers.
jom "scientists just guess until they are proved wrong"
That's a ridiculous statement - that's not how science works at all.
Scientific statements are based on knowledge/observations - a far cry from a guess.
ok vascop, lets call it an "educated guess"
No, the word guess has no place here. It's a hypothesis based on the known facts and theories.
Guess isn't quite it

Theoretians come up with self consistant hypotheses which explain things that we observe and hopefully predict things that we can look for.

Then experimentiallists work their socks off and prove that they're talking out of their behinds.

On the odd occasion that their actually right the theoretian gets a Nobel prize while the experimentalits team get a 'Well done' from the rest of the CERN physisists

Ah the removed post was about guesses was it. Hmmm well in which case isn't it a reasonable claim ? Surely any hypothesis is an educated guess which one then has to disprove, or fail to.
Vascop, I know scientists don't guess, I was just reiterating Khandro's latest pronouncements on how scientist operate, he would know of course..
I think 'deduce from available knowledge' comes into it, rather than guesswork.
heathfield, that's why its educated guesswork
