I have been prescribed these this evening, we're going away early tomorrow so might not have chance to ring the doc.
Will I be ok taking these and Warfarin?

Thank you crosswhit99 I think I'll leave home a bit later in the morning and ring the doctor.
masma. did you get information leaflet with the drugs ?
Question Author
Yes I did Anne but it fightened me half to death! It said the two tablets together may cause bleeding, my blood is a bit iffy at the mo so I'm not keen on risking owt especially as we'll be away from home.. I take so many tablets so I'll ring the doc in the morning for their advice also to see if I can start taking them when I get home on Sunday.
wherever your going enjoy, things still ok ?
Well there potentially could be a problem.......potentially, but not necessarily and possibly very unlikely.

Depends for what reason you are taking the antibiotics.

If you are only going away for the weekend, then i shouldn't worry, but if you are going abroad for a week or so, then ring your doctor.

Possible drug interaction only means just that......possible.
Ah! just read your post again.....you are only going away for the day and night.

Yes,I would go ahead and take them.

We're back.. had a brill weekend catching up with old friends, something I needed!
I rang the doc Friday morning and he said just the same as Sqad except he said to start them Sunday morning and enjoy the weekend without worrying about side affects. Sqad I'm taking them due to bronchiectasis problems, I've had 2 other anti bio's in the last month without any change. I've got to go for an urgent chest e-ray tomorrow then doc's Friday, I will say I'm scared to death as to what the outcome will be.

Anne... still walking on egg shells but it's now 5 weeks, I was worried about going away but as far as I know he was fine. Thanks for asking xx
Masma, there's probably no point in saying this, but at this point, there is nothing to worry about. Wait and see what happens. I hope it's good news for you x
