Male midwife? Should that be Midhusband, or similar?

The 'wife' part of midwife does not apply to the nurse but to the pregnant woman. The 'mid' is from German mit meaning with, so a midwife is someone who is "with - ie tending to - the woman". Husband doesn't come into the matter!
