Wasn't aware we had any in the UK!

Are you going to make out in the car?
never... I thought they were invented for American teenagers with cars with bench seats for necking on

BOO ☺☺☺
Your on a loser here, almost everyone here who posted at 15.49 had the same idea!
its friday right?..... :-) i'm saying nuffink
They were going to build one near where i grew up but it fell through and became a retail park instead. Probably more profitable.

I don't think the surroundings are particularly plush, and where are the toilets ? Can one get a Fred Flintstone Dinosaurs Ribs snack whilst there ?
Our local commercial radio station did this once - they projected the film onto the side of the building i work in, which is adjacent to a huge car park. The played the soundtrack on the radio station, and everyone tuned in.

I didn't go, but they never did it again, so it can't have been that much of a success.

Drive-ins are for US states with virtually assured warm evenings - not the UK where it can rain in any ten minute period.

It's just not in our culture - but still, have a great time, it's something new to try.

McFluffy, shut it!
:-)
I used to go quite regularly when I lived in Australia but that was in my teens around 50 years ago.
I understand they have one at Audley End near Saffron Walden, Essex, occasionally.
Round here if you really want excitement, you can go to 'Flicks in the sticks' - where they show a DVD in the village hall and stop half-way through for refreshments.
Man, that's living, sherrardk.
I keep seeing posters for one near me and thought about checking it out! I look forward to your feedback.

I've been to loads of outdoor cinemas, with bats flying across the screen and they stop half way to allow you to get sustenance and a fresh beer. I did go to an uber posh one where they had waiters who would (virtually) crawl on their bellies to serve you food and drink through the film and bring you a blanket if you felt a chill.....wasn't so keen on that one.

3 Fs? I suppose as Boo is married.....'Find' and 'Forget' are redundant! ;-)
