In my boredom I've just knocked up this little crazy guy:

The quality of my photography clearly isn't as good as my ability to weld. P.S ignore the feet, the welds are completely finished and I ended up burning myself.

Let me know what you think.

*aren't completely finished*. The feet need some fettling anyways.
Cute! What are you making next?
I think their brilliant diz, well done x
Really, really interesting. They sort of remind me of steam-punk jewelery. I like them.
Question Author
I don't know. I don't think I'm going to bother making anymore.
I like that very much Diz!
diz, you really could sell them, their very unusual and please, make more!
I like that, it's cute :)
He's adorable!!!!
They are brilliant diz. You are very talented.
Take good care of the burns, they can be quite nasty.
I also like the title of the photos: "rhapsodyinsteel". You could call them "Rhapsodics". Go for it; as pusskin suggested there could be a market for them.
Try them on ebay? See what happens?
Don't give up dizmouk2009. You are good at what you do.
I like it diz, you have a talent, try and use it to your advantage. No luck with getting a job yet ?.
Put tammies and kilts on them and you could make yourself a fortune selling them in Edinburgh.
diz, is that little fellow made out of stainless steel ?.

Thanks all.

tonyav: The nuts are stanless and zinc. I can get stainless nuts though. I don't usually work with anything other than the highest grade stainless and copper. It can be a nightmare due to contamination. The washers are also mixed and the round bar is 316 s/s.

I was trying to portray a person pointing and laughing. The finger and thumb are seperately welded to the arm.

leahbee: Thanks :) I'm used to getting burnt. I was bitten yesterday by one of the Sanctuary dogs so my hand is pretty much battered, bruised and burnt anyway. I don't wear gloves when welding because it restricts my hand movement on the tig'ing gun. It isn't very clever on your fingers - get a good tan though. Although it is rather painful when you forget to put the earth onto the metal and end up using your body as the earthing point.
diz...You are a highly talented chap and there is a market for your metal creations.

Room for thought. Perhaps this firm might be interested.
