Just an update on my previous post -
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Question1267410.html
The abdominal scan was totally clear, a synacthen test was also clear, as were all other bloods, however a chest x ray has shown a "minor change on the left side" and is to be repeated this week before a second visit to the consultant. Any ideas what a "minor change" might be? Auntie is now convinced it's breast cancer as she has previously had some pain on and off at the top of her left breast. No amount of reasoning is working and I've confiscated her Readers Digest Medical Encyclopedia before she self diagnoses anything else!!

Certainly nothing to do with breast cancer. A little pneumonia, long past and gone, an indistinct "shadow", certainly no big deal.

We thought that the abdominal scan would be normal and i appreciate the feedback.

Thank you Sqad, I really appreciate you taking the time to read and reply! She had pneumonia several years ago and several bouts of pleurisy and I suspected that this would show up. I have explained that a chest X-ray detects issues with the lungs, heart ribs etc but not the breast, however I think only the consultant will be able to reason with her. That blasted Encyclopedia comes out any time she has as much as a cough - she's had everything from an Aortic Aneurysm to Zinc Deficiency! Thank you again, hope you're having a lovely weekend x
LOL...she is not the only one who "dives" encyclopedia or internet.
