My husband who is 68 and I 65 are visiting Kenya in November - do we need the YF Injection. We are going to Nairobi, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara Game Parks. We have been told that over 60 the injection could be dangerous. Please help.
I seem to recall when I went to Kenya that I had to provide a yellow fever vaccination certificate. However, this was about 13 years ago so things may have changed.

Certificates are only required for travellers arriving from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission (indicated by 'Yes' in the first column here: http://www.nathnac.org/ds/c_pages/documents/WHOYFrisk2011.pdf ). They aren't required for visitors arriving directly from the UK.
I have taken some advice now and I think I will give it a miss as apparently the risk is minimal and there has been no outbreak since 1995. Thank you all for your contributions.
