My elderly father keeps having falls and I suggested he wears a wristband which would connect him to a central help point to get instant help. I can't remember the name of the company who makes them. Any ideas?

Boxtops has provided the same link that I was about to give. However, in case you are tempted dismiss our suggestion because Boxy has said that it's not a wristband, I'll point out that the page actually says "The light weight alarm pendant can be worn either around the neck or as a wrist band".

It does look a bit bulky to wear on the wrist though! I will give them a call tomorrow and find out a bit more about it. Thanks for your help and the link.
Thanks chris :-)
I set my mum up with one of these a few months ago. It`s called Careline and it`s in conjunction with the local council (the actual agreement that she signed was with the Mayor of the borough which made me smile). It`s about £15 per month but they had a sale where the first 6 months are free. You can wear the alarm around your neck or as a wristband. The pendant is the most popular. She also has a key box called Keysafe which is in conjunction with Age UK. That keeps a key accessible to the emergency services if the keyholder is uncontactable. That was £90 to install as a one off payment.
He/you needs to get in touch with the social services dept at his local council - my mum and dad in law have just applied for one through theirs.
