Ladies - Do You Use A Shop Bra Fitting Service?

Yesterday after work I went to M&S and for only the second time in my life used a shop's bra fitting service. I found that the size I had self assessed for myself was wrong. After measuring the girl brought a selection of bras to me to test out her calculation which was correct. Now I am comfortable and new bra also looks good being a perfect fit. Highly recommend anyone who has never been, or not lately, to give it a go.

I tried the marks service a couple of years ago and it was total pants... I guess it depends on the shop and the fitter.

I've never had any luck with a measuring service myself, my boobs are either swimming in the cup or bulging over the top ;)

Also, different shops come up in different sizes.

woofgang - a bra fitting service that is pants! I like that. You are right I think, that it must depend on the ability of the fitter.
:-) I thought it was pretty witty myself!
It is equally important to know hot to put on a bra as having the right size of bra.

Please concentrate on the demonstration and note particularly that you should lean forward and let your breasts fall into the cup before clipping.

I lost the bet with myself sqad, you are about 15 seconds late!
I get fitted at Debenhams. I think if you're anything over a C cup it's vital to get fitted.
if you fall forward when well-endowed, then at least you can bounce back up again :-)

Who on earth decided that women need bras?
How about a mra for men with man boobs?
woofy........LOL

I deliberately put Ladies as the first word so as not to have lewd comments from the men. However, I am sure that Sqad is posting in his professional capacity and wants to make sure we do not injure ourselves while getting dressed.
Rigby & Peller everytime for me!

does the bra-ftting service make the bra more expensive though?
They ain't cheap.

I'm sure there was a lady who worked in either M&S or Harrods and could accurately tell a lady her bust size just by looking and she was always right.
Bra fitting isn't charged for, well nowhere I've ever shopped has charged.

R&P look at you and 'guess' your size. So far they have got it right.

Eccles I would like to go to Rigby and Peller one day.
Alba the fitting service was completely free and the girl went out of her way to make sure I was happy.
Ummmm I am a DD, having a fitting isn't vital.
I often go but find it depends on the fitter themselves. Most seem to get my size well out and end up going through the rigmarole of faffing around in sizes until I'm proved about right.

M&S sometimes do an offer if you go for a fitting though you often have to book in and come back later, depending on the store I guess but I go to a busy one.

I found the Debenhams fitter I saw last time was very good. Bravissimo staff are usually always great though, again, you often have to book in for a fitting sessions.

I was taught the tipping into the cup thing some years back by a very good fitter, at a G cup though I have to watch I don't topple over ;)
I know this is a daft question, but do you have to take your bra off to be measured?
Question Author
No cloverjo. They measure you over the bra you are wearing.
We have Sadie the bra lady, she takes one look at you then tells you what size you are, no measuring required, apparently.
I plucked up courage to have a fitting last year at M & S, the fitter did not measure me just looked, I asked why, she said we are not allowed to touch now, we have to do it by looking. Not happy.
