Hello. Does anybody know of a safe and reliable way of removing these UN-sightly blemishes. I have thought of "going private" so would welcome any experiences you may have with cosmetic surgery in this respect. Cheers Chris

I we talking moles OR warts?
Question Author
Moles and skin tags mainly .
Have you been to your GP?
Well, depending upon the site, size and whether we are speaking just of "moles" I would see your GP and he will advice as to the best "port of call."
Your local health centre should have some sort of 'wart clinic' to treat skin tags/warts. A nurse takes care of them by freezing them with liquid nitrogen. Certain beauticians offer this treatment to but it costs. For the moles I guess you'd be better speaking to your GP.
you can get rid of skin tags yourself - tie a piece of cotton tight around the neck, it stops the blood supply and they'll drop off.

G P f.......d me off. "N H S does not do this sort of thing" Got some fishing line around a skin tag and it's gone black and is due to drop off. Will try local private hosp I think to get rid of moles. Cheers so far. Chris
My husband enquired with his GP a few years ago about having some moles removed, and they would only remove the ones which were causing a problem, for instance one which was on his side in line with the waist band of his trousers and used to get caught and bleed. They wouldn't help with removal of any others just for cosmetic reasons. He didn't bother in the end.
