I don't want to pay lots of money for a facial as I am convinced it can be done at home with what I have to hand. I have a family wedding soon and need a lift. ( not a face lift!) Any tips please?

Beaten egg white, and obviously cucumber for the eyes.

Pixie's suggestion is right - egg white tightens the face up and cucumber cools the eyes - now make sure no egg white around the eyes big-time.

Also when rinsing - finish off with Witch Hazel for toner. There ya go Lynbrown a facial for £1.50-£2.00
LOL, you wee devil, RATTER
Lyn...if you can run to it have one done professionally for a special occasion. So much more relaxing if it's done well....x
PS - Use Astral for moisturiser - per se an old advertisement for Joanna Lumley- have been using it all my life and when I went to see my nurse about 4 weeks ago - she must have had a sneaky look at my age on file/computer - and first words out of her Gawd -your skin is beautiful. At that time of the morning 10.00 am - very nice compliment to receive and to be over 60 nicer still.
paper bag? :-) I've said it now :-)
This is like something from a Finbarr Saunders comic strip......

LOL, so will I RATTER, my Mrs thinks that giving me a facial involves a good sharp slap around the kisser !.
Has anyone mentioned pearl necklace to go with the facial? :-)
Hi Gness - now this is me personally - a facial voucher was bought for me some years ago and whilst I went through with it - I realised I couldn't bear the thought of some stranger touching my face. Ok I am "odd". Professional facials don't do it for me - but my friend loves them - so each to their own.

Carrust - did you enjoy having a good scratching session yesterday. LOL
I'm still waiting to hear which 'professional' performed it for gness......!
