Do any of you take regular daily vitamins, if so what do you take and do you feel that you benefit from them ? I've just began taking multi vits and iron, and glucosamine. I feel I am benefiting from the iron as less tired and more energy.

berocca when I feel run down, I used to take ginkgo biloba for memory but i kept forgetting.
woofy....LOL

No, I don't and never have taken any supplements.
Nope. I'm cynical. I believe they are mostly one massive con that a large proportion of the population is falling for.
I used to but don't any more. I could probably do with a healthier diet though.
I eat a slightly strange diet because more than a little fruit or veg doesn't "agree" with me so I think that using a supplement occasionally is a reasonable idea. If I could do the five a day thing then I wouldn't bother.
Do not take any myself. About the only vitamin supplement I might seriously consider taking might be Vitamin D during autumn/winter if I lived up North, but provided you have a diet that is only on nodding acquintance with a recommended diet, you are probably getting enough vitamins.

For those who have an underlying medical condition. or a poor nutrition it might be worth taking it.

You may feel more energised taking multivitamins because of a placebo effect, poppie - If you genuinely are getting a clinical benefit from the iron, that might indicate an underlying anaemia, which might be worth checking out...
I am currently taking part in a Omega 3 project. I had to do loads of physical and mental tests and will do more in July and lastly in October. Supposed to help with things like bone density and mental agility. They already found I have the bone density of someone 30 years younger than I am, but dont know why that is.
Not usually, occasionally iron though I'm on folic acid due to medication I'm on (else wouldn't be taking it) and have on vitamin D therapy on and off as I seem to have a recurring deficiency. I had a malabsorption condition which may be why.

Oh and sometimes vitamin C when I can feel a cold coming on (desperate measures probably haha!).
I have to take multi-vitamins every day since my weight-loss surgery. My Vitamin D levels are very low so I also have to take them every day too.
I take a multivitamin with iron. I can only say that if I forget to buy them and don't take them for a while I feel very lethargic.
I have just started taking 4 vitamin D tablets a day for a deficiency. Can't say i've noticed any benefits yet.

I do have to take iron tablets now and again but it's getting less and less that I need need to go back for them.
Voddy and Eve... How many vitamin D tablets do you take? I thought four seemed a lot...
Erin, I get the Boots ones and they are one a day. 4 does seem a lot to me, but I aint no doc! lol xx
I've never taken supplements and don't believe they help. I think they are a waste of money, it's money flushing going down the loo. I believe in getting nutrients from good wholesome food.
society, that's well and good when you have your entire stomach left in your body. 85% of my stomach was removed as part of weightloss surgery, therefore I can't get enough good wholesome food inside me. I eat less than a toddler lol I will have to take a multivitamin every day for the rest of my life. Pre-surgery I would have agreed with you, but my blood results confirm the vitamins help me.
No, I don't take anything.

I have (besides alcohol) a fairly healthy diet.

Voddy....are you still losing? How hard is it with having to cook and taste?
Yep still losing...6 1/2 stone gone and 1 more to go!

I can still taste things.....but it may mean I forego a meal because I am full! lol it's the weirdest thing in the world but I love it! xx
Wow....that's loads.

When I'm cooking food that needs tasting I always feel full up by the time it's served.
