I take 20mg of Statins daily. Are there any vitamins I shouldn't take while on Statins?

smurfy........I think that you might find an article somewhere on the medical www that would suggest that ANY of the vitamins MAY have an inter reaction with certain statins.

Me? if i wanted to take a vitamin supplement for any reason and i was taking statins, then i would just go ahead and take them.

Smurfchops have you just gone onto statins, I ask as I have been on them for 3 months and my cholesterol has gone down from 6.1 to 3.0 doc and I very happy, hope they work for you

magicmick my cholesterol was 7.7 and the doctor put me on 40mg a day of Simvastatin about two years ago. My cholesterol went down to 4.6 but I wasnt happy taking 40mg so I took it down to 20mg, and now my cholesterol is around 5.0. Doc seems happy, I'm happy, we're all happy! No side effects either, no muscle pain etc. I felt like I was a walking time bomb before I took them, better safe than sorry.
