.... But it has been a year since I gave up smoking! And by the 28th I will have been one year cancer free.
I freely admit to having had the odd puff [three] whilst I was in Thailand but other than that nothing. I do however put my success down to vaping lol As someone pointed out to me, it's not so much giving up but changing brands...to one that won't kill you!

Yay, nice one Lisa! I'll be a year in April, so a bit to go yet. And yes, without vaping, I don't think it would have been possible to give up the fags. Viva la Riva ;-)

What's 'vaping'?
Ecgis Naomi, as you blow vapour rather than smoke :-)

^^^ ok, now I understand thanks.
Well done. It will be 5 months for me at the end of this month, no vaping just pure bloody mindedness. lol
Absence of fags - great

Absence of cancer - just wonderful

I love it and while it is just as additive as smoking it's no where near as harmful. You are basically inhaling a water vapour laced with nicotine. I loved smoking [there I said it] but knew that physically it was killing me. Vaping is all the fun with out the nasty chemicals and awful smell!

Oooo, thanks. I've never heard of that. It sounds horrible. :o/

Well done divegirl - and B00. :o)
really pleased for you

Nice one Daffy... you gave up on a No Smoking day thingy if I remember correctly? You should be so very proud of yourself :0)

And Dave.... I love you too...

Same with me Lisa, I loved smoking and if im being honest if it wasn't for the cost, one I simply can't afford anymore, i'd still do it.

I see vaping as a cheaper, more socially acceptable and safer (admittedly not infallible) way for me to continue doing what I love.
Well done divegirl! proud of you too.

I am going through my second week of not smoking with patches. (its tough)

Are elite ciggies better than inhalers may i ask?
giving up fags pusskin? Yes definitely.

Giving up nicotine? Nope, as you're still 'smoking' nicotine whilst vaping.
Question Author
In my opinion... definitely! The only thing I will say is [as I have mentioned before] they are as addictive as smoking. I now vape menthol and it gives the exact same 'throat hit' as smoking.

Have a look around here for more information...
