Hi, stewey
Good of you to ask, and oddly enough, dicky (dtc), whose dad was a clockmaker, asked this morning. I think I told you that I have found a highly-recommended clockmaker, who told me it would be 6 weeks before he could collect it. I'm in waiting mode at the moment.
I promise to update you as soon as I can.

Ok, Astibus; I'll be waiting to hear from you...Cheers.
Don't be in a rush. The only people in this world who have absolutely no sense of the passage of time at all is clock repairers! I had one who blithely told me, after 6 months, that he had "started on it", which, to be fair, he had; he showed me the bits ! Another took a clock away and by the time he brought it back, I had moved house and he had to ask my old neighbours if they knew where I had gone; they referred him to my old landlord. But, if you collect clocks you soon get used to this. At least yours has given you an honest, if distant, time when the clock will be taken away
