Can anyone recommend a really intensive hand cream, my hands are in an awful state, really dry and soap has started to irritate them a bit. I've tried that Norwegian stuff from Neutrogena and also some really creamy stuff with hemp in from the Body Shop, neither have helped.

Thanks for any replies.

I sometimes get contact dermatitis and the Atrixo one serves me well
i think nivea is the best and its not very expensive.
Clarins hand and nail is very good at the expensive end, and Atrixo regenerating treatment at the least cost end.
vaseline and rubber gloves for few hours in evening or over night. works wonders. I promise you.
We used to use Udsal - udder cream - when are hands were really sore and dry and it did work.
I forgot this one - it''s lovely they do several different ones but this is the 'strongest' put it on, put some cotton gloves on overnight

It is possible that your hand wash is making them worse. I tried Carex for a while and it dried out my hands out and made my skin peel! Which ever one you use try changing it to a fairly natural one for a while. If its going to make any difference it will do so in about a week.

(I use this Bentley one now and have normal skin again.)

And for hand cream - I use this :-)

Wow, thanks all, I've got loads to try now. Think I'll start cheapest first and work my way up ;)
Dove intensive moisturiser for extra dry skin is excellent.
The key is also frequent application - apply once every hour if needed
If you can get ~Sally Hansen in the pale orange tube and it smells delicious as well.
