you think a full stop makes a good title?
Question Author
no title necessary
Thanks, Dotty, an ideal number to ease oneself gently into the day ....

I'm easing into it too Rose, put an old episode of Scrubs on to actually wake me up......
Haha, I'm just out to feed the sheep ... looks bracing out there, brrr.
"no title necessary"

Saying please and thank you aren't necessary, but courtesy costs nothing.

I don't get what you mean rojash.
What I mean is that the title is there to indicate to people what the post is about, so that they can decide whether they are interested in reading it. Putting a post without a title is discourteous. It's also very difficult to open a post without a title (as clicking the title is the usual way to open it).
Why is this in Genealogy?
It's a dot thing crafty, see even the title is a dot.
Question Author
well spotted tony, i use that alot when posting you tube, it is in here because my default AB page is/was genealogy in my favourites, i've changed it now and probably i will continue to use the dot too, doesn;t bother me what others appear to think it means.
God dotty................you're such a renegade.
Hi dotty/craft/anyone else who's looking in (particularly if you've a brain I can pick),

I found out today that a childhood friend died two years ago, we'd not been in contact for ages save to pass the time of day on FB when a mutual friend reconnected us both(which is how I found out, by posting happy birthday and then reading the other birthday messages!) I'm clearly not devastated or anything like that but I would like to know how he died, morbid curiousity I guess... I know his full name, DOB, and when he died, I tried googling with no luck at all... do either of you know any non-intrusive ways I can find out how? (I'm not going to email his Mrs, it's been two years, I've only just noticed and I am only really satisfying my own curiousity and the three other girls who went to youth group with him many moons ago!)

Ta for letting me pick your brain!
I agree with rojash. Not everyone has your razor sharp eyesight dotty.
Question Author
cause of death isn't available outside of a death certificate or a coroners report, if he had died of an accident or foul play say, then there would have been a probable google hit from a local newspaper. through illness it would only be via getting the death cert from the local registrar that you would have more detail. obits in local papers or in memorium may be helpful, you could go onto their website and search
Thanks dotty, the only thing I found was a note and a photo in a football program so I assume there's been no foul play or anything like that, I shall remain ever curious then as I agree, google would have stumbled on something if it was reported. Cheers ears! :c)
