Had a boob cyst aspirated yesterday. The procedure was painless but my boob is very sore today - the breast clinic didn't warn me about this - so is it normal?

Perfectly normal....there is probably a bit of bleeding around the cyst and maybe inside the cyst which is causing the pain. Ibuprofen 400mgms should ease the pain.

Thank you squad - I shall sleep easy tonight.
I am pleased it was painless for you, mayennaise.

I had one from a significant lump which was not pleasant and I consider myself to have a high pain threshold ;)

I only had the mammogram 10 days ago so when the second screening letter arrived last Friday it gave me a bit of a start. I turned up yesterday and was immediately given a magnified mammogram, examination by a lovely lady doc, then an ultrasound, then the aspiration, then another ordinary mammogram and then told all was OK - Phew!! All that in 1 hour! Can't beat the NHS!
That's a relief for you may - glad they said all is ok.
