I would have thought so, that's what secretaries are for. (Assuming it's your own operation rather than his.) Don't ask secretaries about the expected outcome unless you've taken a microgram of ibuprofen first, though.
lol jno!
Yes, it's my op. I saw the surgeon last month and he said he'd put me in his diary for October but I've heard nothing yet and it would help if I knew the date
absolutely acceptable. Be prepared for them not to know the answer though. BTW i swear you were asking about pracitsing phoning them and wondered why you'd need to!
Yes. I phoned a consultant`s secretary the day before an operation as I was worried about one of the after effects. Not only were they more than happy for me to phone, they actually paged him in the hospital and he came to a phone to speak to me. Brilliant.
Yes Mrs O I did just that, as I was waiting for a scan for kidney stones and it was taking ages and I was in real pain. It certainly hurried things along speaking to his secretary as I got an appointment through immediately for the same week and they were very kind. Hope you get a date.
I'd have thought that you could phone the surgeons secretary for this info, mrs o, I know that's what I always do, as the letter from the surgeon may be lost in the post to your GP. :)
Mrs O we recently had problems with Chief Stouts tablets the GP had not recieved the letter from consultant informing him of the increase in dosage, rang the secretary and she rang back and said consultant will phone you, not only did he phone he rang our GP as well.
