Is there such thing as a happy ending?

Relationships come and go as we learn different things about ourselves and other people. Are we destined to learn for the rest of our lives, or is there actually someone out there for each and every one us?

there certainly can be, but often it's what you make of it - some people seem to look for absolutel happiness, where often you have to make compromises.

I don't think there is. If there was we wouldn't have bachelors and spinsters.
In my case, if there is, I haven't found him yet.
I believe that some fortunate people do meet a 'soul mate'. I also believe that they are few and far between.
I met mine.
there are only happy 'middles', all endings are sad!
As humans we're very adaptable and our needs and character can change so in essence we are more suited to some then others but there are thousands of "Soulmates" out there for each individual that we'd be very happy with at different times in our lives.
Not true in my experience loofah. I met my soulmate at age 14 and knew him at once. We married when I was 21 and he died last year.
Sorry to hear that woofgang but i believe you can still be very happy with someone new but this could be overshadowed by guilt
Sorry to hear that woofgang.
you are wrong loofah so very wrong.
Woofgang, my grandmother lost my grandad and she spent many years unhappy and met someone but couldn't stop thinking of my grandad and the guilt was consuming her and this was destroying her relationship. She was involved in a car crash and lost her memory and all knowledge of life before the crash and i've never seen her so happy so it is possible
So you know what to do now Woof:-(
That's not what i meant ladybirder, my point is take memory and guilt out of the equation and we're pretty much a tetris block with many other potential partners/soulmates
Loofah if you haven't experienced it yourself i would suggest you don't go around talking balls. I bet you say things like "you'll get over it and move on"
wow I got a swear through the swear o mat
Probably thought you were talking about the tennis:-)
I'm sorry woofgang.

I didn't meant to offend you :(

i wish i could find the person who is out there for me
