Yea gel nails will be absolotuly fine in sea and pools, treat them like your natural nails although the only thing they may do ever so slightly is yellow, so if you can get a protective top coat from your nail technician before you go, this would be a good idea. Glad your having gel nails they are the best you can have for your nails generally, they all do damage your nails to some extent but these happen to do so the least. Happy hols........

should all therapist have the protective coat?

The girl that is doing them works here and does nails from home she has recently qualified.

Not always, i doubt she will but you can always ask her where to get some from, i know calgel do one, you could google it and see what you come up with, i trained in clagel nails at college a while ago and found one of the old leaflets given out which had it in so im sure they will still do it, wouldn't cost the earth either.
if i was you i'd have fiberglass nails put on there better they don't soak up all the water like gel and acrylic!
