Delilahcat - an apology

I know that this is not a question but I would like to apologise to delilahcat. Having now read things more carefully I realise that the original smoking/non-smoking thread was not delilahcats.

However, I still wonder why there are not more non-smoking restaurants? As I said in a previous answer I often visit non-smoking restaurants in Glasgow - does nowhere else have them?

I can't agree with a total ban but wonder why we can't have some restaurants (and pubs) which are non-smoking and some which are smoking. Surely the owner/landlord could decide.

Gef,

Thanks for the apology - as someone has said elsewhere we ABers don't always agree but on the whole we respect other people's point of view.

I'd be happy for there to be some non-smoking and some smoking restaurants, then at least there'd be a choice.

I have just read through all 55 answers on delilahcat's previous question - quite an interesting debate.

I live near Kingston upon Thames in Surrey where there are loads of non-smoking restaurants.  I know because i've walked out of many of them :o)

For the record I agree with one of the answers in that, with a bit of consideration i'm sure we can all find a way of living with each other.
