becoming a session guitarist

what do i need to do in order to use my talents as an electric guitar player to make loads of money and have fun at the same time?

There are tens of thousands of talented musicians out there.  But only a few thousand make it as session and backing musicians.
From my experience of studio and concert work, having a good personality and being able to work with anyone is a prime factor.
So if you are good enough musically, make sure you are easy to get on with and well liked (even if it means crawling now and again).
