Two weeks ago I jarred my little finger on my right hand. Redness has disappeared. But the swelling has only gone down slightly. Pain on clenching fist. Between knuckle of little finger and ring finger. How long before pain disappears completely. Should I have had it checked out.

No big deal....this will settle....2 weeks is a very little time for a minor joint problem to settle completely.

Ibuprofen 600mgms as and when necessary should help to settle this down.

Thanks for your reply. Will try painkillers see if it helps.
2cats....painkillers?

Ibuprofen is anti inflammatory as well as a pain killer and it is almost certainly the inflammation in the joint that is causing the pain.

Aspirin or Paracetamol are not anti inflammatory.
