Women! Nice gesture, or too much?

Hey! Just a quick question for you females out there!
There's this girl I like at work, she knows I like her too, but she has no interest in me (yet) haha :P. We're still real good friends though and get on great. Her birthday is coming up this week, so I was thinking about getting a nice bunch of flowers delivered to her, would she see this as "too much" or as a nice gesture? Like I said, she already knows how much I like her, but I don't want to make her feel awkward, should I go ahead with this? Thank you :)

She might get a bit embarrassed when a big bunch of flowers is delivered to her desk and everyone asks where they are from. A good quality box of chocolates might be more discreet ... you sound very nice, good luck !
Not to sure Smithy .. what's her 'body language' saying to you? If you feel she isn't interested as you have said, may be it's too much too soon?
'too'
Too much, a nice (not mushy) card will do. Play it cool.
Not too cool though, how about a X in the card ?
Depends why you are giving them to her. If you would give any other female friend a bunch of flowers for their birthday, then why not? If you`re giving them in the hope that she`ll decide she`s interested in you, then you might be better off saving your money. Hope that doesn`t sound harsh.
Yes smurf but only one.
Too much. Get her a card and a CD or something non romantic.
my opinion, too public at work if she's not interested in you in that way.
i would start smaller and less visibly!

why not buy a cake/cakes to share with everyone (make sure you know her favourite) and if she doesn't want to carry it further you can just be 'that great work friend' and not lose face? xx

Thank you for the responses guys, I will definitely take these into consideration! I appreciate all the answers :) thank you
So what would you give a 'good friend' for her birthday - maybe a silly card? don't do the flowers!
I think a card, perhaps with a message - can I take you to lunch? Start off small - lunch could just mean a sandwich, then take it from there. If she says no to lunch, then she's hardly going to say yes to dinner or appreciate any other romantic gesture. If she umms and ahhs at the lunch request, all you've got to say is, come on, it's only a sandwich - then take it from there - or not as her reaction will tell you.
I forgot to say, I hope it all goes well and she says yes!! good luck
Great idea Rap!
Good luck SmithyLad.
May be have that message on a little note in the card instead of written directly 'on' the card .. more discreet that way!

Excellent ideas guys :) I shall let you know how it goes! Thank you again!
You better had!!! :0)
I think this would be too much too. I would imagine that a card and some chocolates would be fine.
