One of my friend's bought a t shirt for her two year old nephew and everyone else in the family thinks it is hilarious.

I think it's plain wrong. It has a slogan - I'm with MILF.

I cannot see how this can be funny at all. Yes, I know my nephew doesn't know what he's wearing, but I still don't get the humour.

MILF stands for Mums I'd Like to F*uck !!
I think arguably inappropriate tee shirt slogans have been discussed previously. I tend not to mind them for the reason you give, but I know some are shocked.
Does the mother know what he's wearing? Is her name Jacosta?

I know what it stands for, that's why I don't find it funny.

The mother thinks it hilarious!
So you don't agree she's a MILF ?
;-)
I don't think laughing at a child at their expense is funny at all.
a quite crass gift for a two year old imo..
No, you're not having a sense of humour failure. I know what MILF stands for and I don't think it's funny to put it on a T shirt for a 2 yr old (or a 22 yr old - or any other age for that matter.)
Sadly, the people who think it is funny will probably also think it amusing to buy a French Connection T shirt as well.
If it actually says the word f*** then it's wrong if it only says I'm with MILF then it's quite clever and very funny as only adults will understand it and it pokes fun at the mother, can't you see it?
a lot of kids understand that word as well, its not clever, its stupid.
It's ridiculous!
Lol, again that word "Stupid" is used without the user knowing what the word actually means, here for you

stu·pid (stpd, sty-)
adj. stu·pid·er, stu·pid·est
1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
3. Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
4. Dazed, stunned, or stupefied.
5. Pointless; worthless:

Id say that someone that comes up with a phrase or motif that sells t-shirts and makes a lot of money is actually defined as someone who is clever or do you not see it?
I have no problems with adults wearing such T shirts, even though I think they are ridiculous and not funny (neither do I like adults wearing horrible football shirts). Likewise I see it totally pointless for a two year old to wear a T shirt with adult language on it (or a football shirt for a team he/she has no understanding about). Let kids be kids and not display them for reasons of our own.
