Lol we could make our own cult if we carry on haha. Hmm maybe you have to do a little dance with it, bless it and then put it on the shelf? ;-) but yes we can talk as 'normal' people do lmao xxxxxxxx

I don't know about the drains, but I never walk over pub cellar drops - not so much a superstition as from experience. When I worked in the brewery, people often fell through the lids....
If I saluted magpies around here, I may as well super-glue my hand to my forehead and be done with it.

Oh dear boxtops lol. I can understand that. I don't know where I get them from, as far as I can remember I have been. Won't put new shoes on the table, if I buy someone a purse or wallet I've got to out some money in it x
I salute magpies and won't let anyone point at a rainbow.

Lol DT I often feel like that haha. Only Salute if there's one though x
i have a necklace that my sister bought me after my daughter died. when i was pregnant with my son, i was very superstitious that if the clasp had worked it's way round to the front when i got up in the morning, it was going to be a bad day or something bad was going to happen
I'm not really superstitious but I do still remember to greet all single magpies, and to ask after the well-being of his wife ;-)
I've heard the rainbow one, I have been guilty of that. Also the shoes - and my grandma said you should never put a loaf on the table upside down, otherwise sailors would drown.
I used to think I'm not superstitious but I am!

I have to ask after Mrs Magpie; I won't willingly walk under a ladder; I won't drive over a manhole if I can go round it and I do "touch wood". But I have no problem with the number 13.

I've never heard the rainbow one, I always point at them lol. Luckily I don't wear a necklace, is that something you still do? X
if you mean me roxy, i took the necklace off after William died and haven't worn it since
For many years I always looked up, when walking home from the pub, to check whether it was a full moon or not. If it was, I took great care, after arriving home, not to look out of the window because ('as everyone knows'!) it's unlucky to look at the full moon through glass.

It was only when I mentioned this to my girlfriend that it was pointed out to me that, since I always wear my glasses, I would have already looked at the moon through glass when checking to see its phase ;-)

Oh yes I touch wood too! Lol. I hate Friday 13 th. Although traditionally was a good luck day apparently x

Yes bednobs, sorry thought I'd written the name in my post, so sorry to hear that :(. X
Chris yes, I have that problem with the specs - but my superstition is that you shouldn't look at the NEW moon through glass!

I don't know about Mrs Magpie, we always just say "good morning Mr Magpie".
Question Author
Lol @ pixie- I know, lol I don't want to do anything that could tempt fate etc
Haha x
Magpies I always salute, odd one that so many of us do that, as for most others I'm not that superstitious how ever 'walking under a ladder' I always check to see if there's a buffoon or not at the top who knows what they're doing.
Question Author
Sorry a bit blond, is the new moon when it first comes up? X
