I went to a 'prom' send off the other day. All the girls were wearing really high heels .. so high in fact that they couldn't actually walk naturally! I'm seeing lots of this style of shoe. What the hell are they doing to their bodies ?

Are shoe manufacturers being irresponsible?
You can't blame the manufacturers; they wouldn't make them if there wasn't the demand!

May be sophie! These latest shoes are unnaturally high though.
They take on a sort of flamingo gait, lift and place, lift and place. Hilarious and very unattractive.
Question Author
Really is hc! They don't see it though do they?
i also think that certain types are '***' shoes, and it doesn't matter who wears them. i really wonder why women pay such a large amount of money for disgusting taste, an inability to waok properly and in some cases, long-term damage to feet x

I Watched the girls in their beautiful dresses ... totally spoilt by how they had to walk!!
Question Author
Yes the price too!!
But fashion, proper fashion; is never really about looking beautiful or being able to walk is it?
These shoes have been around for a long time in fetish footwear land. They were never meant to be walked in.
Question Author
That's true sophie ... but ! these have got to be so bad for your posture!
sorry...previous gap should say: s.l.u.t! x
Only as bad as ballet pumps I suppose which give no support at all and are likely to be worn for much longer periods than the high heels.
And of course, if you several hundreds of pounds for a pair of outlandish shoes they will have been designed properly to support the foot (as much as such a shoe can) and be properly balanced and strengthened in the right places.
This cheap tat doesn't do any of that - just rips off 'the look' as cheaply as possible.
Question Author
Yes hc... fetish footwear/role play... and yet hese are now being worn regularly out to clubs ect...
At least the foot is supported by the ground, or floor, in ballet pumps. Little chance of breaking your ankle in them and the hips are properly centred over the ankle.
Question Author
Sophie ... these latest high heels are pushing the foot forward in to a very high slant.
Yep; ah well each to their own! I can't wear super high heels anyway but do see the appeal as they are fashionable and what's fashionable is hardly ever sensible!
last and there should be 'but'
