pick off top, squeeze contents till just blood comes out, air dry. When I was younger they said apply tooth paste to spot over night to help it dry out, tried it and don't know if it worked, can't remember

Toothpaste will help get rid of the redness and calm down the inflammation. Just remember to wash it off next morning before you go out or you will get funny looks. I love your way with words screien.
