Are you in the UK Fiferboy? if so :
If you think you have been at risk, find your nearest NHS sexual health (GUM) clinic and make an appointment.

If you want more information call the Sexwise helpline on 0800 28 29 30.

you can also buy some over the counter lotion at the chemist
Do you have a bath? Sit in the bath and shave your hair off. Then wash your pubic area with a strong Dettol solution. This works well with head lice.

yep im in scotland..if i was to shave it off,how long will it take for my hair to grow back?
Get some headlice treatment from a chemists and use that
It would take a few weeks to a month for your hair to grow back.
You can treat them with an over the counter product for head lice, Prioderm or Quelleda
have you started walking sideways yet?
Aren't you worried at what else you may have caught?  Perhaps you could go see your GP just in case, or see Jules001 email above.
fiferboy, shaving off your pubic hair will not get rid of them....even though a lot of people think that works, it doesn't!! Go to the chemist and ask them, or go to your nearest NHS clinic as already suggested.
