have been trying to lose a bit of weight and be careful with what i eat for a couple of weeks. although i've put the scales away for 3 months, i'm pretty sure i've lost at least a couple of pounds, maybe more.
checked my blood pressure two days ago, which i hadn't done for a few weeks, and it was 109/76 which is the lowest it's been in a while.checked it again last night and got a similar reading. now, i'm assuming the weight loss has had an effect on it, so as i (hopefully) lose more weight, does this mean the blood pressure will continue to reduce, and if so, should i take it upon myself to reduce my blood pressure meds (they come in 2.5mg tabs) or should i really visit my gp?

What a very good question.

What BP tablets are you taking?

Are you going dizzy when you stand up?

Have you got a home BP monitoring device?

ramipril 7.5 mg
no
yes
Right........in my opinion.....reducing your Ramipril is a thought.......however, I would continue the same regime for the next 2 weeks, monitoring as you go and then get back to us.

In the meantime, if your BP continues to fall and you have dizzy spells when you stand up or bend down, then the answer is clear.........reduce your Ramipril to 5mgms.
