Is it a sign of infection to have blood and thick mucus? Ive had it for a week and half now and im on the mini pill so i havent had a period in 3 years. Ive had that kidney infection so didnt know if it was anything to do with that? Ive googled it and some sites say its normal and some say its an infection or cancer??

Any HELPFUL advice ladies please

Hi! I'm a 51 year old female who was on the "mini pill" for quite a long time when I was younger. Progesterone only, right? So, to be completely honest, I believe if you are having discharge that you haven't experienced before, your best bet is to go to the doctor and get yourself examined. If you do have an infection, they will be able to tell. You don't want something like that to go untreated, as it could result in permanent infertility or worse. So…see your doctor.
